Wire EDM or CNC Grinder - 2nd Shift $37.25/hour (Plus $1,000 Sign-On Bonus)

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an opportunity for a CNC Machinist (Rotor Cell Team Operator Trainee) - 2nd Shift at our Elyria, OH location. Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. This role is eligible for a $1,000 bonus! Job Summary In this position, you will learn to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Rotor Cell team certified operator occupation. Essential Functions Process rotors through various machining, EDM, and supporting operations in a team-oriented cell. Maintain cell inventory. Set up and operate numerically controlled machines and other equipment. Make and verify corrections to program, setup, tooling and machine settings with assistance of the Supervisor and/or Manufacturing Engineer. Use various gauges as required. Provide a finish according to the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including removal of burrs and edge breaks. Saw material as necessary. Clean and move parts as necessary. Pass an annual eye exam. Assist in product verification and process control using necessary measuring devices. Keep charts and records of completed sequences and processes. Rotate to different workstations within the cell. Perform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance and safety checks in the cell. Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures. Inspect work to ensure product meets standards at each operational step in the cell. Complete all required paperwork. Ensure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked before movement. Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required. Complete all required documentation such as operator inspection records, job routers, NCRs, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets. Perform other duties assigned by the department supervisor. Utilize computer to access various databases. Minimum Qualifications Experience: Wire EDM or CNC Grinder experience required. High School diploma or equivalent. Eligibility to access Controlled Data or Information; only US Persons will be considered. Work Environment Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and stretching. Lifting parts, fixtures, and containers up to 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet, grinding wheels up to 40 pounds to a height of 3 feet. Use of assorted burring tools and the ability to grasp tools in awkward positions. Manufacturing shop floor environment. Greasy, oil environment. Exposure to dielectric fluid and coolant.
