About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA only, TNCC required. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Evening/nights, 12 and 8-hour shifts as needed. Primary shifts will be from 11:00 to 23:30 or 15:00 to 03:30. Weekend and holiday rotation based on operational need. Must have two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations. Epic experience is necessary. Certifications required include BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC. Traveler will need to pass a telemetry test before being cleared to start. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care. It serves as a critical entry point for patients requiring stabilization for admission or transfer. Designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center. Recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department. The department includes 20 exam rooms and has the ability to flex additional rooms to meet demand surges. The team coordinates closely with ground ambulance services and air transport for critically ill and injured patients. Emergency Department nursing staff also serves as the rapid response team within the facility. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Minimum experience required is two years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last three years. The provider will need to pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria. Candidates will have two attempts to pass the exam, with specific requirements for lethal rhythm identification and heart block questions. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled.
