Quality Engineer

Our client, a leader in manufacturing and quality assurance, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer 1 to join their team. As a Quality Engineer 1, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department, supporting the inspection and approval processes to ensure the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, experience in material inspection, and knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Job Title: Quality Engineer 1

Location: 2408 Forbes Rd, Gastonia, North Carolina

Pay Range: $35

What's the Job?

• Conduct material inspections at supplier sites to ensure compliance with quality standards

• Review and approve shipments to ABB Richmond, ensuring accuracy and quality

• Document shipment data through detailed photographs and records

• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to rejected shipments

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes

What's Needed?

• 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance or material inspection roles

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or a related field

• Proficiency in problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes

• Ability to travel to ABB Richmond once or twice per month if required
