• Shift: 10-hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), including weekends (rotated)
• Hours/Week: Approximately 40+ hours
• Employment Type: Contract / Ongoing
• Licensure/Certifications: Active APRN or NCCPA certification, willing to license in MN, DEA required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiology or critical care (preferred)

What You'll Do

• Support inpatient cardiology care in a hospital setting with a 128-bed capacity
• Support staff: 1:1 APP to MD, with full weekday and weekend coverage
• Rounding on general cardiology patients and managing 8-12 patients daily
• If experienced, provide critical care and advanced heart failure management
• Perform hospital rounds, charting and documentation via Epic EMR, aiming for EOD completion
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

What You Need

• Board Certification as an APRN or NCCPA certified PA
• Valid medical license in Minnesota (or willing to obtain)
• DEA license
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology or critical care experience (preferred)
• Strong clinical skills in general cardiology; critical care experience optional for full-time placement

This opportunity is with a leading hospital within Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute, providing inpatient cardiology care including general cardiology and potentially critical care services. The role supports staffing needs from January through April 2027, with possible extension or ongoing locum support.
