Position Details Classification Title: Communication Studies Instructor Pool – Part‑Time Salary: $1572.67 – $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1258.16 – $1380.60 per lab unit rate. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English OR possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area OR the equivalent. Experience teaching and mentoring historically and socially minoritized/marginalized communities such as African‑American/Black, Chicanx/Latinx, Pacific Islander, Native American, women, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities.
