Film & Media Studies Instructor Pool-Part-Time Position: Film & Media Studies Instructor Pool-Part-Time Department: CC Visual and Performing Arts Location: Cypress College, Cypress, CA Employment Type: Part-Time (per lecture unit) Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in Film & Media Studies, including day, evening, hybrid, or online formats, as requested. Prepare and deliver course materials, lectures, and assessments. Provide instructional support to dual enrollment students. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and service activities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history, or Bachelor’s in any of the above combined with a Master’s in humanities. Valid California teaching credential for community college in the appropriate subject area, or equivalent qualifications as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity, with experience engaging diverse student populations. Desirable Qualifications Experience teaching fine arts or media courses to underrepresented or non‑traditional students. Experience in historically underrepresented communities or supporting students with learning disabilities. Special Requirements All degrees and coursework used to meet the required minimum qualifications must be verified through a legible transcript and evaluated for foreign degrees where applicable.
