Tooling Technician Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg Phoenix, Arizona, United States About this position Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including manual lathes, grinders, and milling machines Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and tools Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and tools Fabricate, modify, and repair tooling and fixtures Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and increase efficiency Safety Sensitive Position Other duties as needed or required Work Environment: The primary work environment is the production floor. Secondary work environment is the office. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift. Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns. While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasional stooping and walking will be required. Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred MANUAL LATHE EXPERIENCE A ++++ USING 4 CHUCKS EXPERIENCE A ++++ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and reading technical drawings Familiarity with CNC programming and operation Strong problem-solving and communication skills Special Requirements Safety Sensitive: This job is designated by Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg.
