School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Avondale, Arizona

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a preschool student with specialized medical needs. This contract position requires direct onsite care for a young learner who has a tracheostomy and requires frequent aspiration. The assignment spans from ASAP through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The schedule follows the students class times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:13 AM to 2:44 PM, and every other Wednesday from 7:15 AM to 12:17 PM on a rotating half-day schedule. Key Qualifications: You hold an active Arizona RN License Currently possess an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Maintain up-to-date CPR/BLS certification Previous experience providing skilled nursing care in a school setting, with comfort supporting students with tracheostomies Ability to address the care requirements of non-toilet trained children Ready to begin as soon as possible Primary Responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 nursing support for a preschool student throughout the school day Manage tracheostomy care, including monitoring, aspiration, and emergency readiness Support daily health needs, hygiene, and coordinate with educational staff Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with families and team members Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment by addressing the unique medical needs of the student This role offers a full-time schedule aligned with the students class attendance, providing rewarding continuity of care within an educational setting.
