HR Generalist

Location This position is located at 1300 South Dean Avenue, Raymore, Missouri, 64083 United States Role Summary The Senior HR Generalist oversees daily HR functions such as benefits administration, training, and development, prioritizing employee engagement, company policies, and leadership development. They actively participate in HR team and line leaders’ development, HR projects, and new initiatives to uphold clear communication, proper planning, and timely action, thus contributing to URBN's reputation as an employer of choice. As a member of the Global Supply Chain HR team, they focus on enhancing efficiency through tools and analysis in alignment with our core values. Role Responsibilities Supports and in some instances leads the development of HR processes to ensure compliance and efficiency. Leads the development of the HR team including but is not limited to benefits, leaves, compensation, performance, talent management, recognition, OSHA, workers compensation, and training & development, and employee relations including disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations. Ensures compliance with all training requirements, including safety and anti-harassment training, by reviewing, tracking, and documenting completion. Collaborates with SC talent acquisition and functional leaders to comprehend required skills to align on recruitment and onboarding processes, including supporting the selections within designated areas. Supports current and future programs designed for development, engagement, motivation, and retention primarily at a line manager and associate level. Supports HR function with research, project support, reporting/analytics, and championing HR initiatives. Works closely with line leaders to develop and implement HR priorities and plans, focusing on areas such as talent management, leadership development, performance, career development, and early career initiatives for clarity and effective execution. Build cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships with HR and develop employee engagement activities that help elevate and build company culture. Conducts new hire orientation and actively participates in the onboarding process in partnership with operational leaders. Assist with payroll and ensure compliance, audit payroll records, validate employee and company information is accurate. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Functional expert on site. Contribute to the development of the group. Support communication and information flow through the site. Coach, support, and develop the local function Managers, Supervisors, and associates. Provides partnership, tools, and training for leaders related to disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, employment law, and new technologies. #LI-MW2 #INDMOKS Role Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3 - 5 years of direct human resource generalist experience. SHRM-CP a plus. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. High ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
