Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Colorado Critical Care/Complex Care Clinical/Lab - Nursing

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Nursing students.This PRN adjunct position requires travel within the Denver (Englewood), Colorado area to directly observe student performance, when scheduled for clinical rotations and labs.Pay is $60/HR for day clinicals, $70/HR for night clinicals. $50/HR for Labs – Labs have no grading requirements.What you will do:Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursingCollaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectivesParticipate in grading written and clinical performance check-offsRemain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practiceMaintain compliance with requirements for program accreditationUphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the UniversityTravel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performanceParticipate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the communityProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon UniversityWhat you need:MSN Preferred.BSN required. BSNs will be required to enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, immediately upon hire, paid for by GCUORBSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
