Senior Revit Drafter

Long Term – Full Time 

 

 

Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for a Drafter position for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. As a senior drafter, you will play a key role in translating architectural designs and concepts into detailed, accurate drawings for precast concrete products. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to create 3D models and detailed plans using EDGE^Revit , ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.

DETAILED SUMMARY:

• Prepare erection drawings, shop tickets, and material requisitions using contract drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations as reference.
• Generate plan views elevations, sections, and details as needed to build a full set of erection drawings.
• Consult with the design team, engineers, and project managers as needed to answer questions.
• Aid junior draftsman building shop tickets as needed.
• Ensure clear communication of design intent to the production team to prevent errors during manufacturing.
• Interact with production to provide information for the QC and the bed crew to ensure the concrete product is produced correctly.
• May require occasional job-site visits in the local area with the engineering manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Autodesk Revit and EDGE^Revit preferred software experience. 
• Minimum of 5 years drafting experience in same/similar industry. Structural precast 
  detailing is highly desired 
  
• A degree or certificate in Architecture, Engineering, or Drafting is preferred. Minimum of 3 years within a drafting role.
• Construction experience required; Precast Concrete experience is specifically preferred. Strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and industry standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
