Senior Technical Program Manager

Join the Program Management team in the Technology Group The Program Management Team is on a mission to build and operate the world's most performant, efficient, and reliable planetary‑scale platform. You will join a team of Technical Program Managers that lead complex technical programs that advance Akamai's Cloud Computing Technology. Responsibilities Leading end-to-end delivery of complex, high-visibility, multi‑team technical programs Aligning efforts across engineering, product, and business leadership while balancing multiple priorities effectively Developing successful partnerships with engineering, product and program stakeholders across the organization Identifying areas for process improvement, architecting and proposing solutions and implementing change management Providing guidance and mentorship to technical program managers and engineers on effective execution practices Qualifications Have 5+ years' experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, another related field or its equivalent Demonstrate business expertise with capability to align program efforts with organizational strategy Anticipate needs, identify gaps promptly, initiate actions to address gaps, resolve issues, solve problems, and eliminate obstacles effectively Be extremely well organized, detail‑oriented, motivated, and technically oriented Have excellent storytelling communication skills for both technical and executive audiences Demonstrate expertise in risk management, resolving problems, and effectively navigating uncertain situations Utilize tools like Smartsheets, JIRA, Confluence, Aha, understand networking and cloud technologies, and quickly adapt to new technologies Have familiarity with JQL and data analytic tools such as eazyBI and Tableau Benefits Benefits at Akamai: We support your health, well‑being, finances, and life beyond work.
