Jersey Shore, NJ Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA) Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for an ongoing opportunity across the Jersey Shore region of New Jersey .

This opportunity offers a consistent three-shift-per-week schedule with broad, hands-on urgent care practice. Coverage begins in October and runs through December, with potential to extend , across multiple locations in the Ocean and Eatontown markets.

Jersey Shore Coverage

PAs must be comfortable floating between participating locations in:

• Ocean, New Jersey
• Eatontown, New Jersey
• Potential additional Jersey Shore locations

This is a regional coverage opportunity. Candidates should be prepared to work across participating clinics rather than being assigned exclusively to one location.

Clinical Practice

Provide independent urgent care evaluation and treatment across a broad range of outpatient presentations. Clinical responsibilities include:

• Acute illness and injury evaluation and treatment
• Laceration repair and suturing
• Splinting
• IV fluid administration
• Women's health examinations
• STD evaluation and testing
• Rapid flu, COVID and mono testing
• Rapid HIV testing
• Urinalysis
• Point-of-care testing
• DOT-related occupational health services
• Other routine urgent care procedures and treatment

Clinics currently operate primarily with single-provider coverage , although staffing may increase based on patient volume.

Technology-Enabled Workflow

The practice uses a proprietary EMR platform with an AI-assisted documentation component designed to streamline charting and clinical workflow —particularly valuable in a busy urgent care environment seeing approximately 25–40 patients per day .

Requirements

• Physician Assistant (PA)
• Active New Jersey license
• Active DEA
• Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience
• Current BLS
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong urgent care procedural skills
• Comfortable practicing independently in a single-provider environment
• Ability to float between participating Jersey Shore locations
• Local/regional candidate preferred
• Acceptable malpractice history
