Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency nursing care to adult patients in a busy ER setting. Deliver high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization under critical conditions, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to ensure timely intervention.
• Administer emergency treatments including IV therapy, ventilator management, and medication administration.
• Interpret cardiac monitoring and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive trauma and neuro-care.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system.
• Float within various ER units and utilize specialized equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York RN license; NY license is non-compact.
• Possess a minimum of one year of ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting software.
• Have valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Show competency in IV therapy, ventilator management, and stroke care.
• Be willing to work day or night shifts, including every other holiday and weekend.
