About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Strong, independent, experienced nurses required Description: Will float within the scope to meet facility needs. Nurses will float to Med-Surg, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, Medicine, Emergency Department Holding/Boarding, and COVID units. Some floors are primary nursing. The expectation is that nurses will float shift to shift to all inpatient areas excluding specific departments. Patient ratios in Med-Surg/Telemetry float will be approximately 1:4-6. No first-time travelers are accepted for this role. Every other weekend shift is required. IV start skills and telemetry experience are required. Candidates should have experience with administering chemotherapy and managing telemetry patients. Strong skills in the interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac drips are essential. The role involves monitoring chemotherapy and peripheral line care/management. Experience with phlebotomy is needed. Travel experience is required. Candidates should have preferred prior experience in Level I or Level II trauma settings. Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments. Nurses will care for adults and geriatric patients with a variety of medical diagnoses. Travelers will be required to float within service lines.
