OS365 Administrator Team Leader - Senior Consultant (Remote - USA)

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is for a Team Leader of the VW O365 and Exchange environment. The Office 365 Engineer will support the ongoing messaging environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide L4 support to resolve VW incidents in support of the their infrastructure
• Perform analysis of VW infrastructure environment and resolve issues/problems accordingly.
• Participate in technical projects involving upgrades, architecting, multiple Tenets, single tenets,
• Knowledge of the following application (Exchange 2010, Exchange 2016, Office 365, Teams, Skype for Business 2015, Proofpoint, Totemo Email Encryption, SMIME, Active Directory, Networking)
• Respond to service requests from VW support groups, vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain documentation of VW environments
• Coordinate patching/upgrade activities for critical VW Exchange environment components.
• Support during the weekend when required for all locations for any issues requiring VW support (on-call rotation)
• Knowledge of Change Management process
• Lead team of up to 12 people

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MESSAGING TEAM:

• Assist team members with setting direction and guidance with project related tasks.
• Ability to engage team members and coordinate activates and goals.
• Participate with Sr. VW Technicians in project and maintenance duties if needed.
• Review documentation for accuracy
• Develop documentation as required.
• Assist with project coordination and development.
• Maintain the integrity of the VW in accordance with policy and best practices.
• The demonstrated ability to troubleshoot with end users.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate team status, task accomplishments and possible issues as they arise.
• Have experience in with multiple tenets and the integration of other services such as SharePoint online, Teams and Other collaboration platforms.
• Have at least 10 years’ experience in above skill set.
• Regular, predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10-15 years’ experience in Exchange/ skype and well versed in O365 migration processes.
• Ability to self-direct and work independently as required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Technical and Non-Technical)
• Extremely "Detail Oriented" individual with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to learn and display acceptable proficiency in VWGoA applications.
• Positive mental attitude, solution architect, team builder

EDUCATION:

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience in VWGOA.

Physical requirements:

• This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to work effectively and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.
