Quality Engineer

MBS Pro Staffing is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client’s team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality and reliability by developing inspection methods, sampling procedures, and training materials. You’ll work hands-on with production teams to improve processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and TS16949 standards.

What You’ll Do

• Develop sampling procedures and create forms, work instructions, and documentation for quality and reliability data.
\n
• Independently establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production, testing, and analytical equipment.
\n
• Implement methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material, including cost and responsibility assessments.
\n
• Lead and direct teams performing product measurement, testing, and data analysis on material and process quality.
\n
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and 5S.
\n
• Develop and deliver training on quality control methods and best practices.
\n
• Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, QS9000/TS16949 requirements.
\n
• Apply SPC and MSA techniques to monitor and improve process stability and capability.
\n

What You’ll Bring

\n
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
\n
• Experience: 4–8 years in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality roles.
\n
• Strong understanding of quality systems , including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
\n
• Proficiency in statistical and analytical methods such as variance analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and reliability testing.
\n
• Experience with geometric dimensioning , 7 Quality Tools , and other core quality engineering principles.
\n
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to prepare clear reports, technical documents, and correspondence.
\n
• Comfortable working in manufacturing environments that may involve moderate to loud noise levels and mechanical components.
\n

Work Environment

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, or use hands to handle tools and components.
\n
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
\n
• Vision requirements include distance, peripheral, depth perception, and close focus.
\n
