Our Surgical Services department uses state of the art equipment to perform a wide variety of procedures at both our Noblesville and Westfield, Indiana campus locations and it is an exciting time to join our team as an experienced certified surgical technologist (CST). We offer 12-hour, provide scheduling flexibility, and provide education and training to grow your skillset in various specialties. Come join us and perform life-changing work for our community!Job ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures through compliance with applicable policies procedures, surgical protocols and principles of asepsis.Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery while maintaining a sterile field.Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.Remain current and competent in knowledge and skills necessary to meet the responsibility of the position and take initiative to inquire and explore new surgical procedures and subjects relating to the surgical patient and operating room environment.Precept new and tenured staff and surgical technology students as requested.Function as a superuser of selected medical equipment.Serve on call for rotating weekend, holiday and weeknights as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Education RequirementsMinimum: LPN scrub or Certified Surgical Technologist graduating from an accredited surgical technology programPreferred: Associate DegreeExperience RequirementsMinimum: 3 -5 years of multispecialty OR experience in the scrub role as LPN or CSTPreferred: 5 plus years of multi-specialty operating room experience in the scrub role as LPN or CST and member of a national nursing or surgical technology organizationLicense/Certification RequirementsMinimum:Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association)Preferred: Associates or better in Practical Nursing. Technical/other training or better in Surgical Technology.Required: Certified Surgical Tech BLS- Basic Life Support
