Senior Product Marketing Manager

ResponsibilitiesMaxLinear is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:Maximize our market share of existing products by working with sales and customers, gaining a keen understanding of future needs of Tier1 customersCreate new product definitions and roadmaps that will give us an edge over the competition by collaborating with Systems and Design EngineeringPartner with Applications Engineering and Marcom to generate the tools and documentation needed to maximize the value and impact of our leading-edge Server Power productsManage product positioning and pricing of current products at new and existing customers and drive efforts for design wins and forecast revenue associatedTrain sales, develop tools for the direct sales team and channel partnersCreate close relationships with key decision makers at current and future lead customers in the Enterprise marketDevelop, implement, and manage plans for product launches including documentation, sales collateral, presentation and positioning to maximize the potential of new productsFor all new proposed projects, prepare Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs), Competition and Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis, for the basis of executive kick off reviewsResearch and analyze market opportunities, trends, and competitive pressures to develop effective product management strategies and roadmapParticipate actively in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment with needs of marketing and customersSupport preparation of monthly and quarterly forecast for financial and supply managementQualificationsPrevious direct involvement with Enterprise applications, especially serversRegular travel for customer meetings is requiredExtensive knowledge of the silicon chip industry and the competition and knowledge of industry standards, trends and future operator plansTrack-record of success leading aggressive, results-driven product management and product planning strategies and initiativesExperience developing product roadmapsExtensive experience taking product from inception to commercialization, delivering on-time and the financial results targetedSuccess influencing opinions and actions of key stakeholders within their organization, customers and partnersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including market research and data gathering, ability to think / conceptualize independently and creatively, strength in building and analyzing complex financial models, and excellent business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implicationsExcellent oral and written communications skillsExperience creating and making highly effective presentations to senior managementStrong organizational, project management, and execution skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentBS + 8 years of experience, or MS + 6 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 3 years of experienceCompensation and BenefitsMaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $170,000 to $200,000AnnuallyWe offer competitive benefits designed to support employee health, welfare, and retirement and some highlights are: health care benefits, 401k savings plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and paid time off.The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, and will not be discriminated against based on race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.Company OverviewMaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
