About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the senior financial executive with a focus on the financial strategy, integrity, and long-term sustainability of the institution. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of the university, managing the treasury function, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role involves leading the finance organization, partnering with senior leadership to align financial resources with strategic priorities, and representing the university's financial interests to external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' of senior financial leadership experience, with a strong background in higher education or academic medicine. Key responsibilities for the CFO at the company include developing and implementing financial plans that support strategic initiatives, engaging with the Board on fiduciary matters, and providing strategic financial input on a range of issues. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in building and elevating a finance organization, as well as experience in multi-year financial planning and forecasting. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work at the Board level and translate financial complexity for diverse audiences. A Master's degree and experience with systems implementation, particularly Workday, are preferred qualifications. The CFO will also be expected to have a strong commitment to the values of the institution and the highest ethical standards.
