CardiologistThe Department of Internal Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardio-Oncologist to join our growing Cardiology/Cardio-Oncology program. This position offers the opportunity to practice cardiovascular medicine in a uniquely multidisciplinary environment where cardiology is directly integrated into the care of patients receiving complex cancer therapies.The Cardio-Oncologist will partner closely with medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, critical care physicians, advanced practice providers, and other specialists to protect and optimize cardiovascular health before, during, and after cancer treatment.The successful candidate will evaluate and manage patients with existing cardiovascular disease as well as those at risk for or experiencing cardiovascular complications associated with chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, radiation, transplantation, and other cancer treatments.For physicians interested in academic medicine, the position also provides opportunities to participate in clinical research, education, quality improvement, and the continued development of a growing cardio-oncology program within an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.The Cardiology/Cardio-Oncology program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center provides specialized cardiovascular care designed around the needs of patients with cancer and cancer survivors. Our cardiologists work directly with multidisciplinary oncology teams to evaluate cardiovascular risk, manage pre-existing cardiovascular disease, identify treatment-related complications, and help patients safely continue potentially lifesaving cancer therapies whenever possible.Joining the program provides the opportunity to practice within an environment where close collaboration between cardiology and oncology is part of everyday patient care.
