Job Summary

The Restaurant and Cafs Services Runner is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Services Department.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Service

• Prepares work station for service, including, but not limited to coffee, linens, risers, menu tags, menus, products, registers, heat lamps, refrigerators and general supplies.
• Ensures, stocks and deliver unexpired products from storage areas, warehouse and kitchen.
• Understands all stand set ups, menus, product offerings, side dishes, condiments, allergens, and packaging.
• Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
• Ensures additional stock transferred during an event is delivered in a timely manner and is communicated properly to the Stand Lead.
• Performs equipment inventory as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work station and service area, including waste management and deep cleaning.
• Delivers exceptional service.
• Acts with a sense of urgency with respect to guest and event needs.
• Ensures assigned work is complete by end of shift and report status to Stand Lead including any unfinished work.

Controls

• Employs good safety and sanitation practices in order to prevent hazards including but not limited to, slips, trips, falls and burns, and reports injuries, unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to management. Contacts Public Safety and management in the event of emergencies.
• Adheres to company guidelines, policies and property rules.
• Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
• Thoroughly completes all responsibilities and assignments.

Team

• Displays a positive attitude.
• Assists others when necessary and/or requested.

Qualifications

• Walks and stands throughout entire shift.
• Lifts and transports items weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Pushes and pulls carts, equipment, racks and products weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Must frequently reach, lift, stoop and bend,
• Reads, speaks, writes and comprehends English.
