Order SelectorThe Order Selector is responsible for picking and staging orders for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess orders for shipping - pull items, palletize, wrap and stage for shipmentMaintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safetyMaintain quality in the warehouse and immediately report damaged product or equipment to the Warehouse ManagerMaintain quality service by following organization standardsMaintain safe and clean work environment during and after the shift by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulationsWorking ConditionsAbility to move/lift up to 85 lbs.Ability to withstand cool/cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse environmentPosition spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushingSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.RequirementsMUST have at least one year of order picking experienceForklift certifiedRF Scanner experience is preferable, but not requiredAbility to understand and execute instructionsMust be able to work as a team with co-workers and other departmentsAbility to identify product by size, type, or product code.Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items pickedPossess basic math and reasoning skillsMust possess certification of power-truck equipment (forklift, reach truck)
