Billing Specialist

OVERVIEW:

GenServe is seeking an experienced will organized Billing Specialist, this is a full-time office position. The Billing Specialist will complete invoicing for service repair work performed by GenServe service technicians. This is a fast pasted heavy volume position. Applicants should be detail oriented, a self-starter and independent worker. Understanding of the maintenance and repair service industry a plus.

JOB DUTIES:

• Process AR invoices daily as required per the completed job workload and deliver invoices to customers via email, online portals, or regular mail.
• Ensure customer information regarding payment choice and billing contact is available.
• Make sure all charges are correct and in alignment with customers specs, labor rates, contractual agreement rates, flat rate pricing, parts pricing, subcontracting pricing and freight charges.
• Make sure all necessary information is listed on invoices including customer PO numbers, work order numbers, order release numbers, and proper bill to address and email address are provided.
• Maintain knowledge of incoming jobs ready for invoicing to forecast volume. Communicate with supervisor when there is a back-up.
• Take customer payments as needed, communicate with customers when needed.
• Actively participate in Billing Team meetings and communicate ways to improve the established processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate’s degree +

Available to work 40 hours per week, work in the office

3 to 5 years’ experience creating AR invoices, including portal invoice submission using accounting computer software.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Software computer programs.

Knowledge of Sage 100 and Salesforce is a plus
