Production Associate

Position Title: Production Associate

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports to: Production Supervisor / Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly and Production Support:

• Assist in the assembly, production, or packaging of products.
• Operate production machinery or equipment, ensuring it runs efficiently.
• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.

Quality Control:

• Inspect finished products for defects or discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks at various stages of production to ensure compliance with standards.
• Report any issues or defects to the supervisor or quality control team.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in managing raw materials and supplies, ensuring there is enough stock for production.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overstock situations.
• Help with restocking materials and moving finished products to storage.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use protective equipment (PPE) when required and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Participate in training sessions related to health and safety.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other production team members to meet daily production targets and goals.
• Provide support to other production associates and collaborate with different departments when needed.

Record Keeping:

• Document production data, including quantities, quality checks, and machine settings.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree may be preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not always required.
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate production machinery, handle materials, and understand manufacturing processes.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in quality control, assembly, and production processes.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues during production and collaborate with the team to solve them.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced, noisy, and potentially hazardous environments (e.g., machinery, chemicals).
• May require working in shifts (including evenings, nights, or weekends).
• Standing or moving around for extended periods of time.
