Senior Global Technical Training & Development Engineer

Illumina seeks a Senior Global Technical Training & Development Engineer to design and deliver comprehensive instructional solutions for genomic sequencing products. This role involves creating training materials, developing global strategy for new products, and preparing regional trainers to support field service engineers and customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop global training strategy for implementation of new genomic products
- Design training materials addressing troubleshooting, software, networks, and business processes
- Facilitate instructor-led courses with technical presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises
- Continuously update course materials to reflect evolving technology and product changes
- Author and review technical documents and presentations for training delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years related experience with Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with Master's degree
- BS in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills with collaborative communication abilities
- Strong project management expertise across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with optical alignments, fluidics, robotics, electrical/mechanical systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
Compensation: $98,400 - $147,600 base
