This is a key leadership role in developing Flender’s sales budgets and growth forecasts, aligned with the sales strategy of the Wind Service Business Unit. This individual manages the completion of budgets and regular sales reporting. They will cooperate with Marketing, Product Management and Order Management in matters of strategic and tactical product and service positioning. He will Initiate and contribute to planning of customer related product development measures or the setup of customer related projects and support strategic key customers' business development. Manages assigned organizational team and leads and/or coordinates dedicated staff.As the Wind Service Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire sales team for Wind Gearboxes, Generators, Coupling and Main Shaft repairs. The duties include hiring and training sales staff, relaying information from upper management to the sales team about sales quotas and strengthening and advancing customer relationships in the industry.**Key Responsibilities:****Team Leadership:*** Provide robust leadership, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment to achieve operational excellence.* Cultivate a collaborative work environment between the sales team and office employees for seamless coordination and enhanced overall performance.**Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives:*** Implement appropriate training procedures and continuously update sales team of new company requirements. Keep up to date of competitors product offerings and provide commercial/technical evaluation of product comparisons.* Evaluate existing sales territories and determine effectiveness of existing sales team.* Identify new customer preferences, industry trends and technical requirements and provide feedback to management of new sales representatives based on market and company growth requirements.* Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing support to sales team.**Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics:*** Manage weekly/monthly reporting requirements and provide updates on market and project status to management.* Oversee building and management a growing pipeline of service opportunities via CRM.* Provide additional market/industry intel as required by management.**Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients:*** Maintain relations with top management of key accounts.* Visit customers with Sales Team to help promote company products and develop/strengthen customer relations.* Attend Show Exhibitions to develop/promote company products.* Work with global Key Account Managers to strengthen customer relations.**Coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets:*** Continuously review product offering and advise management of new wind industry/product opportunities (field service, repair kits, training and service portfolio).* Provide competitor product technical/commercial intel and market potential for new product offering.**Required/Preferred Knowledge Skills, Education and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred education would be in Mechanical Engineering.* Min. (10) Years Sales Management Experience; preferably in Wind Turbines, gearbox or power transmission fields.* Possess a strong network in the wind industry* Demonstrated experience in contact negotiation and contract review* Ability to manage complex partner relationships and navigate matrixed sales environments* Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales reporting Possess technical knowledge of industrial equipment, preferably gearboxes.* Ability to analyze customer’s technical specifications, mechanical drawings, dimensional tolerancing and data comprehension.* Team player with ability to perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.* Strong leadership and people management skills a must.* Good communications skills to communicate with internal and external customers effectively and accurately.* Good coaching and business development skills.* Strong capability in strategic planning and implementation.* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.* Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, SAP (a plus) & Team Center (a plus).* Familiarity with AGMA, ANSI, ISO, DIN and ASME standards.
