Commercial Litigation Associate (2-10 Years' Experience)

Our client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join a growing office in Albany, NY. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to work on sophisticated, high‑level business litigation matters while benefiting from strong mentorship and a balanced, quality‑focused work environment.

You will gain hands‑on experience across all phases of litigation and play a meaningful role in shaping case strategy and driving client outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Manage discovery, including e‑discovery and document review.
• Support commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on complex business disputes.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
• 2–10 years of experience in commercial or business litigation.
• JD from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
• Experience with pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Backgrounds limited to personal injury, insurance defense, consumer credit, or residential foreclosure work are not the best fit for this role.
