As a Security Officer Entry Control in Front Royal, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support access control procedures. This role combines customer service and communication with a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.22 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with location protocols. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, observing activity, and reporting security‑related concerns promptly and accurately. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
