Junior Analyst

Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is seeking a Junior Analyst to join the team for a hybrid role in their NYC office. This is a full-time, temporary position that will begin September 1 and continue until December 31, with the potential to extend. Job Duties Include Perform reconciliations of domestic and international eCommerce sales by matching ERP transactions against payment processors (e.g., Adyen, PayPal, Klarna), Merchant of Record (MoR) settlements, and marketplace platforms such as Farfetch. Analyze discrepancies and partner closely with eCommerce, Logistics, and IT teams to investigate and resolve transaction variances. Monitor outstanding reconciliation items and collaborate with the Accounting team to determine appropriate accounting treatment and resolution. Prepare and post journal entries based on reconciliation findings and financial activity. Reconcile daily payment settlements against bank statements, identifying and researching missing, unmatched, or inaccurate transactions. Support month-end close activities and reporting requirements related to the eCommerce business. Develop ad hoc analyses, reports, and financial insights to support accounting operations and business needs. Job Qualifications Include 1-2 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role, including internships or FT positions, ideally within a retail and/or eCommerce environment supporting accounting functions. Experience managing data across multiple systems and performing high-volume financial reconciliations in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment. Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
