RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Float to other units as needed
• Required to work Charge RN shifts as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients including orthopedic and medical surgical cases
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, and wound care
• Work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's traction, neck and back braces
• 24-hour orientation period
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

This regional medical center features a 32-bed unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients, specializing in orthopedic and medical surgical services. The facility includes telemetry monitoring capabilities and features an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive rehabilitation services without leaving the unit. The hospital supports various patient populations including those requiring total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and other surgical procedures, with interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
