Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with certification from NBSTSA or equivalent. The role involves working in a Short Term Acute Care facility, focusing on adult surgical specialties. This position requires flexibility, including on-call availability and weekend shifts to meet the department's needs.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Day
Shift Hours: 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)
On-Call Requirements: Yes
Weekend Requirements: Yes
Expected Patient Ratios: 1:1

Special Requirements

Weekday Call: 16 hours every 4 weeks
Weekend Call: 24 hours every 4 weeks
Two years of endovascular experience preferred

Job Qualifications

Certification: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a surgical setting, travel experience required
Charge experience is not required

Special Skills Required

Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including but not limited to:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
- General OR procedures
- Robotic-assisted surgeries
- Trauma procedures
Broad knowledge of surgical equipment

Expected Responsibilities

Assist in preparing the operating room and ensuring necessary equipment is available
Provide support during surgical procedures
Maintain a sterile environment according to hospital standards
Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals
