Patient Dining Leadership Opportunity! Sodexo is seeking a Patient Experience Manager 1 – Food at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Lead operations at this 1,039-bed teaching hospital and Delaware’s only Level I trauma center. Lead a talented patient dining team focused on creating positive experiences for patients through quality meals, compassionate service and attention to detail. About the job Lead initiatives that enhance patient-centered care and service excellence by rounding with patients, gathering feedback, and driving improvements across the hospital. Partner with nursing, clinical teams, and support services to ensure safe, consistent service practices, and coach staff through audits, training, and process improvements. Analyze patient satisfaction trends to implement action plans and foster a culture of quality, safety, and exceptional service. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management. What you’ll bring Experience improving patient satisfaction within a healthcare environment. Experience rounding with patients, families, and clinical staff to gather feedback and implement solutions. Knowledge of food service operations, patient dining, and meal accuracy standards. Understanding of food safety, sanitation compliance, and safe work practices. Experience coaching, training, and overseeing hourly staff in patient services and diet office functions. Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
