Senior Business Analyst - Credit Risk

Salary: $86,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong understanding of credit risk management processes and banking products
• Experience in wholesale banking, commercial lending, corporate banking, or retail credit risk
• Business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and stakeholder management
• Knowledge of Basel regulations, IFRS 9, CECL, stress testing, or CCAR
• SQL experience for data analysis and validation
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Expertise in data mapping, data lineage, and reconciliation
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Bachelors or masters degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, FRM, CFA, PMP, or Agile certifications are preferred
• Experience with Moodys, MSCI RiskMetrics, AxiomSL, SAS, FIS, Murex, or other risk platforms is preferred
• Knowledge of Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting (BCBS 239) is preferred
• Exposure to data warehousing, data governance, and business intelligence reporting tools is preferred
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI-driven risk analytics solutions is preferred

• Partner with credit risk analytics, business, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
• Create business and functional requirements documents, user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents
• Analyze credit risk workflows across origination, underwriting, rating, limit management, monitoring, and reporting
• Collaborate with risk model and data teams to support Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) framework implementation
• Support regulatory initiatives involving Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, CECL, CCAR, and stress testing
• Analyze, reconcile, and validate risk data from multiple banking systems
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, including planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect management
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements walkthroughs
• Maintain requirements traceability from business needs through design, testing, and deployment
