Role Description The Sr. Accountant is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Memphis, TN. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements and reports for SouthWorth and affiliated entities. The Accountant will manage accounts payable and receivable, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month‑end and year‑end close processes. The role includes preparing documentation for audits and tax filings, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls, and providing financial analysis to support management decision‑making. The Accountant will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial information. Qualifications Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; comfort working with financial data and reporting tools. Knowledge of GAAP, tax basics, and compliance requirements relevant to small and midsize businesses. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently on‑site in Memphis, TN, while collaborating closely with management and cross‑functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
