Slitter Mechanic

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SLITTER MECHANIC IN BELCAMP, MD

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Slitter Mechanic to join our team in Belcamp, MD. This individual will be responsible for processing, inspecting, and slitting metal sheets while ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and workplace safety throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical experience in manufacturing or production environments, strong communication and organizational skills, forklift operation experience, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $25.16 – $30.56/hour based on experience Additional $1.69/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), pension plan, tuition assistance, and more Monday – Friday with paid lunch and breaks 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Weekend availability required Located in Belcamp, MD Duties and Responsibilities Read sheet layouts and production schedules Complete production paperwork and spoilage recording Operate, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot slitters and guillotine equipment Perform quality inspections and documentation throughout production Record downtime, fabrication testing, and traceability information Identify material defects, squareness issues, and production concerns Strap and label pallets to ensure safe movement and identification of finished products Operate forklifts to transport materials and finished products Maintain housekeeping and organization of immediate work areas Follow all safety procedures including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout practices Participate in plant or company project teams as requested Support SQF responsibilities and maintain compliance standards Requirements and Qualifications Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Forklift operation experience preferred Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, twist, kneel, and lift throughout the shift Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Comfortable working around loud machinery and varying temperatures Must be available to work weekends and assigned shifts Manufacturing or slitting experience preferred Accurate Personnel provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr Accurate Personnel LLC
