Traveling Superintendent (Commercial Construction)
Location: Southeast U.S. (Travel Required)
Salary: $90,000 - $140,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast. This role is responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong commercial construction experience and the flexibility to travel extensively.

Our client is an established general contractor known for strong preconstruction planning, subcontractor coordination, and quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations from project start through completion
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Maintain project schedules and ensure timely execution
• Enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
• Review drawings and specifications for field execution
• Track daily progress, issues, and site reporting
• Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate onsite activities
• Resolve field issues in collaboration with project management
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent
• Strong commercial construction experience (ground-up and/or renovations)
• Proven ability to manage field operations and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and field best practices

Preferred

• Experience managing projects across multiple locations or regions
• Familiarity with Procore or similar field management tools
• Experience with fast-paced or short-duration project schedules
