Title : Insurance – Commercial Lines Marketing/Placement Manager Location : New York, NY (3x a week in office) Compensation : $150,000k - $175,000k + bonus Summary: Our client, a nationally recognized Top 50 P&C Broker has a need for an Insurance Commercial Marketing/Placement Manager to join their team. Position can be based out of their New York, NY – Melville, NY – Miami, FL office (3x a week in office). You’ll be supporting new business development by analyzing prospective clients\' insurance programs, identifying coverage gaps, and developing comprehensive consultative reviews and proposals. This position partners closely with Business Development Producers and Marketing Executives to prepare underwriting submissions, negotiate with insurance carriers, and create customized presentations that showcase strategic insurance solutions. Responsibilities: Carrier relationships management and providing an in-depth analysis and underwriting for all incoming new business submission and remarkets. Produce and monitor various monthly reports to ensure all new business has been addressed in a timely manner, including post-binding activities, team members open items, workloads, and backlog. Perform periodic quality audits, when necessary. Negotiate coverage/premium on quotes with carriers. Provide technical expertise in coordinating the service of new clients. Includes sales, account development, and problem solving. Contribute information and ideas during strategy meetings. Occasional outside visits to prospects as needed. Work closely with sales associates to understand prospect’s commercial lines insurance needs. Develop submissions to carriers and obtain quotes. Negotiate terms with carriers on prospect’s behalf. Finalize the marketing process and prepare appropriate proposal presentations. Bind coverage for clients and execute client onboarding process. Develop relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives. Serve as technical expert on market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems. Keep current with industry, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology. Qualifications: Property & Casualty, Commercial Lines licensed. Strong knowledge in commercial lines servicing experience including remarketing and new business placement. Expertise in Middle Market Accounts, Specialty P&C Market Segments including Surplus Lines Strong functional knowledge of Excel specific to creating, formatting, and evaluating formulas and working within spreadsheets.
