Resident Care Manager

Resident Care ManagerBridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Facility is looking for a Resident Care Manager. We are looking for a leader who can care for the residents and manage staff. Also, manager-on-call responsibilities when needed. Communication with family members is critical. Must be team-oriented, as supporting the Director of Nursing will be a significant part of the position.Duties include:The ability to brighten someone's day and create lasting friendshipsAssist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting and transferring in and out of bedEnsure the proper execution of company procedures, policies and practicesProvide support, training and direction to Resident Assistants and Med TechsPrimary trainer for all new hires on shift and complete their training checklistsMaintains communications with resident's family and or responsible party to ensure medical needs are being metEnsures contact with resident's attending physician when necessary and/or upon family requestAssesses, monitors and follows up with residents who have experienced any fall, accident or incident; documents and reports as required and directedEnsures weight and vital signs are obtained monthly for each resident, monitored, and documented in resident record (QuickMar)Conduct regular rounds to monitor overall staffing quality and satisfactionIs "resource person" for all shift team membersCommunicate any concerns to leadership, bridging the gap of communication between shift and the management teamProvide feedback to all trainees on shift regarding their progress and outcome of trainingsRetrain staff as directedAssist with med cart audits, med technician training and reinforce expectations for Med Techs on shiftManagement of pharmacy cycle fillManage inventory of all nursing supplies and provide leadership a list of supplies that need re-ordering at the end of the month.Assist with meal timeMaintain the cleanliness of the environment which includes light housekeepingMaintain resident records by charting their care, condition, progress and problemsAssist other team members with their dutiesComply with all safety and health standards, including infection control proceduresMaintaining staff levels to meet the needs of the residents, assisting with daily management of clinical scheduleEnsures oxygen tanks are stored safely, exchanges resident's tanks when empty and monitors to make sure liters of oxygen are at prescribed levelsRequirements:High school diploma or GEDBasic computer knowledgeAbility to multitaskMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to effectively communicate and document in EnglishMust be able to verify eligibility to work in the United StatesMust pass a criminal background checkMust have a current TB test and Physical (if required by the position)Benefits:Medical, dental and vision insurancePaid time off.Rewarding relationships built with staff and residents.
