Area Director of Sales Location: Staybridge Suites by IHG and TownePlace Suites by Marriott | Pigeon Forge, TN Full-Time | Salaried with Bonus Structure | Exempt Position Gibson Hotel Management, Inc. is seeking an Area Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts and maximize revenue across all segments — including room bookings, catering, corporate groups, and special events. Supervise and motivate the sales team including managers, coordinators, and catering staff. Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan and sales action plan. Cultivate new accounts and maintain strong relationships across corporate, government, SMERF, leisure, and association markets. Conduct engaging site tours for prospective clients showcasing the property’s best features. Represent the hotel in the community and participate in industry organizations. Oversee promotional campaigns and customer communication efforts. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction that drives repeat business. What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing. Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team. Strong negotiation, sales, and client relations skills. Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent relevant experience). Working knowledge of sales systems (Delphi experience a plus). Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Familiarity with the local market and a proactive, guest-first mindset.
