Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager(EHS)

Job Description: Our client, a leader within the renewable energy space, is looking for a rising star to become the EHS leader for their manufacturing facility in the Houston Metro area. This role will play a pivotal role in the designing, implementing and overseeing EHS policies and procedures for high profile facility in the cutting edge of renewable manufacturing. What will this role look like on a week-to-week basis? Create, implement and oversee EHS policies and programs in line with federal, state, and local regulations. (Including response planning) Ensure proper procedures and in place and followed for the environment for the facility. Lead Safety risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives within the EHS space. Track, analyze, and report key metrics to operational leadership. Mentor front line employees in hazard identification and risk management. What are qualifications/experience are we looking for? A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, OccupationalHealth and Safety, Engineering or related field. 5 years of experience in the overseeing EHS programs within Industrial or Energy sectors. Strong knowledge of Local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental health and safety. Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management. (PSM) EHS certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.
