Senior QHSE Manager
Meriton Energy Partners
We are supporting a rapidly growing US power infrastructure business with the appointment of a Senior QHSE Manager to provide safety leadership across a portfolio of major distributed power generation projects supporting hyperscale data centres. The business is scaling quickly and delivering critical power infrastructure into some of the most demanding and fast-moving environments in the market. This role will play an important part in ensuring that growth is supported by consistent safety standards, strong site leadership and robust governance across multiple projects. This is a highly visible, travelling role with responsibility across both the construction and deployment of new power facilities and their ongoing operation. The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, site teams, operations, technicians and contractors to drive safe execution across installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance activities. This is not a purely compliance-led position. The business needs a hands‑on safety leader who is comfortable spending time in the field, challenging standards where required and providing practical leadership across multiple active sites. Key Responsibilities Provide senior QHSE leadership across a portfolio of power generation projects. Support both construction and deployment activities and ongoing operational safety across active facilities. Establish, implement and continuously improve safety programs, procedures and site-level standards. Conduct and oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections and safety reviews. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Work closely with site leaders, contractors and operational teams to embed safe working practices into daily activities. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and company QHSE requirements. Provide safety leadership around electrical systems, fuel handling, equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance and emergency response. Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, accountability and visible site leadership. Track safety performance, maintain accurate records and provide clear reporting to senior leadership. Support the development and consistency of site-based safety teams and contractor safety performance. Experience Required Strong safety management experience within power generation, electrical infrastructure, utilities, industrial construction, energy infrastructure or a closely related environment. Experience across both construction or project execution and ongoing operational environments is strongly preferred. Good working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety standards relevant to power generation, electrical systems and industrial project sites. Practical understanding of hazards associated with electrical work, medium and high-voltage systems, mobile equipment, fuel handling, mechanical systems, commissioning and maintenance activities. Previous experience leading safety teams, contractors or site-based safety programs. Confidence operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with significant travel. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the credibility to challenge site teams, contractors and operational leaders when required. Relevant safety qualifications or certifications such as CSP, CHST, CIH or equivalent are preferred. Candidate Profile This role will suit a hands‑on QHSE leader who is comfortable moving between senior‑level governance and practical site leadership. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, direct and adaptable, with the ability to identify issues early, influence operational teams and ensure corrective actions are followed through. They should be equally comfortable in discussions with senior leadership and walking active construction or operating sites. The business is moving quickly, so this role requires someone who can bring structure and consistency without slowing down delivery. Why Consider This Opportunity Join a high‑growth power infrastructure business operating in one of the most active areas of the US energy market. Take ownership of safety leadership across a growing multi‑state project portfolio. Gain broad exposure across construction, deployment, commissioning and ongoing operations. Play a visible role in shaping QHSE standards as the business continues to scale. Competitive compensation and benefits package. #J-18808-Ljbffr Meriton Energy Partners
