Senior Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA Level: Senior About the Company Our client is an established, mid-sized general contractor serving the Southeast, with a strong presence throughout Metro Atlanta. The company delivers ground-up construction, renovations, and remodels across the commercial, hospitality, higher education, K–12, mixed-use, retail, restaurant, municipal, government, multifamily, and industrial markets. About the Role The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership throughout every phase of construction, from preconstruction and project startup through execution and closeout. Reporting to a Project Executive or Director, this individual will oversee project performance, lead and develop project teams, and contribute to client relationship management and business development efforts. Responsibilities Lead preconstruction and project startup activities, including estimating, buyout, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations Oversee project financials, including cost reporting, forecasting, change management, and cash flow Partner closely with the Superintendent to manage scheduling, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance Ensure projects meet or exceed established financial, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction goals Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and interns Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and other industry partners Participate in RFQ and RFP responses, project interviews, and client presentations Support business development initiatives and help identify opportunities for new and repeat work Qualifications 15+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor Demonstrated experience managing ground-up and renovation projects valued at $50 million or more Experience in one or more of the following markets: hospitality, municipal, government, multifamily, or industrial Strong understanding of project financials, cost forecasting, buyout, and subcontract negotiations Experience leading and developing project teams, including Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills Business development experience, including RFP responses and client presentations Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Intentional career development opportunities Well-staffed and well-supported project teams Collaborative culture built on teamwork and integrity Community involvement and volunteer opportunities This search is being conducted confidentially.
