Enterprise Stroke Medical Director Prisma Health | Greenville, South Carolina Prisma Health, headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, is seeking to recruit an experienced Endovascular or Vascular Neurology physician leader to serve as its Enterprise Stroke Medical Director . This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to design and advance a high‑performing, integrated stroke system of care across one of the nation’s most innovative and rapidly growing health systems. Reporting to the Chief of Neurology, the Enterprise Stroke Medical Director serves as the systemwide clinical and strategic leader for stroke care , with enterprise responsibility for advancing quality, access, integration, research, and innovation across all Prisma Health markets. This role is accountable for establishing clinical standards, aligning care pathways, and optimizing outcomes and patient experience across the full continuum of stroke care. The position carries enterprise authority to develop and operationalize a coordinated stroke network , including Comprehensive and Primary Stroke Centers, telestroke services, interfacility transfer protocols, and partnerships with EMS and referring hospitals. The Director will lead efforts to ensure timely access to thrombectomy and advanced stroke therapies, reduce variability in care delivery, and build a high‑reliability system focused on rapid diagnosis, treatment, and recovery . A central focus of the role is leading system transformation through strategic planning, physician engagement, and multidisciplinary integration . The Director partners closely with neurosurgery, neurocritical care, neuroradiology, emergency medicine, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and operational leaders to build cohesive, high‑performing teams and scalable care models across inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings. The Enterprise Stroke Medical Director also provides leadership for stroke‑related clinical research and innovation , with the opportunity to expand clinical trials, industry collaboration, and academic partnerships.
