Production Supervisor - Night Shift

Position Overview Prysmian is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. Each year the company manufactures thousands of miles of underground and submarine cables and systems for power transmission and distribution, as well as medium low voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure sectors. The Du Quoin, IL facility produces low & medium voltage power cables and is looking for a Production Coordinator to supervise and coordinate all activities of one or more major manufacturing functions during a shift operation. Responsibilities Using up-to-date process and equipment knowledge, plan work and production for the shift. Ensure associates have the needed raw materials, instructions, machine availability, and training to meet production requirements. Observe and hold associates accountable for safety adherence, efficiency, overall production performance, and following procedures to reduce scrap and waste. Evaluate process and work performance, and recommend improvements for each associate. Keep records during each shift on attendance, absence, call‑ins, overtime schedule, and accurately approve associate time in ADP. Handle the first step grievances within the assigned shift in accordance with established policy. Support and ensure associates and the manufacturing function(s) fully use Lean tools including PG1OPS (6S, Visual Management, RTFT, and Tier Communication). Perform other tasks reasonable to the job as requested by Direct Management. Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing management environment. Detail‑oriented with strong focus on accuracy. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks and handle daily pressure. Motivational, communicative, and continuous‑improvement‑driven. Critical thinker with excellent analytical abilities. Strong written and oral communication skills. Solid planning, leadership, computer, and administrative skills. High energy, with urgency and a fast pace. Adaptable attitude and professional demeanor in response to change. Understanding of business principles and practices; capable of acting as a change agent to achieve positive bottom‑line results. Desired Background 4+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong project management skills. Supervision experience in a team‑based environment.
