Short Description The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite. Cooper's Camden Campus is South Jersey's only Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, our OR team cares for some of the most complex and meaningful cases you'll encounter. Education Requirements Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists License/Certification Requirements Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing, etc.) Special Requirements 6:30A-7P Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ.
