Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

STEM Search Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on behalf of a growing food & beverage manufacturer in the Milwaukee area. This is a 1st Shift opportunity - no nights, no weekends. You'll be working in a clean, temperature-controlled, highly automated production facility with a small, close-knit maintenance team. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and process equipment throughout the plant Work hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process sensors Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and pH instrumentation Support plant utilities: boilers, steam, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs to diagnose issues Log work in a CMMS and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement What You Bring 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environment Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH) Experience supporting plant utility systems - boilers, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, or HVAC Experience maintaining pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Technical degree/certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing background a plus TIG welding experience (stainless steel) a plus Why This Role First shift schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday Excellent benefits: generous PTO, paid holidays, annual year-end shutdown, 401(k) contributions, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave Long-term stability with a company known for strong employee retention #J-18808-Ljbffr Stem-Search-Group
