HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MATERIAL HANDLER IN LAKE ZURICH, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Material Handler to join our team in Lake Zurich, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for retrieving materials from anywhere in the facility, loading/unloading trucks, and operating necessary equipment. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $19/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• 5am - 4:30pm
• Located in Lake Zurich, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities

• Move stock and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or other equipment
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs
• Count, weigh and record number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
• Attach identifying labels to containers, and/or mark
• Lift heavy objects by hand or using power hoist and clean work area, machines, and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds to assist machine operators.
• Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested
• Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
• Supports the Plant’s Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.
• Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
• Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
• Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
• Actively participates in the safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.

• Organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift heavy objects
• Strong attention to detail
