HVAC Technician

We are seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team. The role offers a flexible schedule with shifts primarily from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, approximately one week per month, covering after-hours and weekends. This role involves operational management and leadership of the engineering team, focusing on maintaining and improving building systems to ensure 100% uptime and asset protection.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning equipment, boilers, heating, ventilating, and hot water equipment.
• Oversee repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems, determining the necessary frequency.
• Ensure an adequate inventory of tools and supplies and manage purchase order requests.
• Supervise contractors working within the buildings.
• Identify and remediate safety hazards, ensuring a safe environment for staff and occupants.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure.
• Maintain infrastructure and compliance documentation, including building drawings and single-lines.
• Provide training and demonstrate the proper use of tools and maintenance procedures.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes.
• Understanding of construction planning and execution.
• Experience with HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with technology, including CMMS and Microsoft Office 365.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Valid HVAC and EPA certifications.
• Valid electrical certifications.
• Skills in electrical troubleshooting (50V-480V) and industrial maintenance up to 480V.
• Experience with CRM systems and plumbing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
