Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs US Advertising and Promotion

Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs for US advertising and promotion at AbbVie, combining scientific and regulatory expertise to ensure pharmaceutical marketing compliance. Role involves leading regulatory staff, monitoring policy changes, and maintaining stakeholder relationships across a matrix organization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor government and industry regulatory activities impacting pharmaceutical policies; disseminate findings to stakeholders
- Draft and submit regulatory comments to government agencies and trade associations in timely manner
- Oversee operations and staff development for advertising and promotion compliance across regulations and FDA guidance
- Develop and implement strategies for promotional activities aligned with regulatory requirements
- Lead direct reports through mentoring, training, and performance management while fostering cross-functional relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science discipline (biology, chemistry, pharmacy, nursing, or related field)
- Minimum 7 years relevant industry experience in regulatory affairs, health authority, or advertising/promotion
- PharmD degree preferred with 5 years relevant experience
- Management experience and strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in oral and written communication
- US regulatory affairs advertising and promotion experience
- Ability to work effectively in complex matrix environments
